Temple, Car, and Ankel

Hey out there. Here is whats been going on with us for the past week. On Wed we were able to go to the temple to get my moms temple work done. Or at least part of it. Then on sat we were able to go back to the temple to finish her work. On the way home we were driving to pickup Ashley and as we were driving our Car engine just stopped. So we pulled over to the side of the road to try and see what the matter was. Well after a while we still could not figure it out. So we called Jeremy's dad to see if he could see what was wrong. In the mean time i missed my friends welcome home party. He came out and could not find any thing wrong with it so we called a tow truck to come and have our car towed, Well while we were waiting I had to get my phone out of the car, So I stepped off the curb and right where I stepped the was a pot hole I was also hills, and then down I went. I ended up scraping up my left knee and tearing up some ligaments in my right ankle. So Jeremy's dad takes us back to his house so that we could pick up Ashley. I went to go and get out of the car and I almost buckled over in pain, I could not put any weight what so ever on it. So Jeremy and his Dad help me to the stairs. Then I had to crawl up the stairs and over to the couch(man that was embarrassing!) Well we got ice one my ankle and then waited for a while we were supposed to go to dinner with our friends Matt and Suzi. Well needless to say that was not going t0 happen now. So they went and got Burger King and brought it over to us. Which was really nice of them to do for us. Then it was like 10 and we had to get going so we could put Ashley into bed. So I had my mother in law dig out my father in laws old walker so that I could try and walk out on my own. Got out to a car that his parents loaned us until we could get ours fixed. We went and dropped Ashley off with my mom so that she could put her to bed. So then we went to the Er to have my ankle looked at. That's when we found out about the torn ligaments. We got out of the er around one, had to go and pick up my pain pills from Rite aid, got home around two, and realized that Ashley was not in bed, So we went up and got her, Tried to put her in bed and she refused to go to bed until about two thirty, then we had to get a sandwich to eat so i could take my pills and got to sleep around 3oo in the Morning. On Sunday morning we were supposed to be going down to Provo for my cousins fairwell. Well between the late night, my pain, and me being on crutches, we were not able to make it. I felt so bad I wanted to go. So we just relaxed all day and took it easy. Some time on Sunday (not sure when) Jeremy pulled his calf muscle in his left leg, So now we are both broken. Hopefully we will get better soon. The car place called today to tell us how much it would be to fix it almost $800! That does not seem like a lot but when you live paycheck to paycheck it is a ton of money. So long story short, a lot has happened and we are broke!

I am feeling a little better our friends came over today and visited which we had a blast. And last night Jeremy rented me Mama Mia. I really really liked that show!

2008 in review

2008 Review

What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before? Went camping as a family, Just the three of us we got to plan where and what we did. It was a blast and I am looking forward to doing that this year

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I dont make new years resolutions for I never keep them so why make them

Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope. I had a few friends that gave birth to babies, but that's about it.

Did anyone close to you die? No, luckily.

What countries did you visit? None at all!

What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? A house and a car and a baby

What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Ashleys first birthday and our trip to California to visit Jeremys brother Josh

What was your biggest achievement of the year? Raising a healthy and happy daughter

What was your biggest failure? Not attending the temple as often as I would have hoped to.

Did you suffer illness or injury?! I found out I have Narcolepsy. And I found out my insurance wont cover my weight loss surgery

What was the best thing you bought? My scrapbook supplys

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Dont know

Where did most of your money go? Bills, bills, and oh did I happen to mention bills?!

What did you get really, really, really excited about? About Ashley and every thing she is able to accomplish

Compared to this time last year, are you: much happier, richer, nicer? I'm happier and hopefully a little nicer. Not necessarily richer in money, but in blessings and better with money so I have more than I did last year.

What do you wish you'd done more of? Camping,

What do you wish you'd done less of? Stress out and worry about things that really don't matter in the end.

Did you fall in love in 2008? Of course! Over and over again with Jeremy and Ashley

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 24. Went to a movie and out to dinner

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Getting pregnant with our second child

What kept you sane? Getting out of the house and going places, blogging, Ashley being the cute little girl that she is. And getting to hang out with Jeremy

What political issue stirred you the most? I dont know I dont pay attention to pollitical crap

Who did you miss? Jeremy when he is away at work I miss him tons!

Who was the best new person (people) you met? Dont know have not met many new people but probubly my cousin inlaw Kirsten.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008. Even though being a mom is the hardest job in the world, there will allways be some one there to love you

What are you most excited for in 2009? Camping this summer and Ashley going through potty training

This year we had our party a little after christmas. It was fun we had pizza and spinich dip and then we sat around the house and talked and played games. Here is some of the pics from our party sorry they are not the best lookin pics

New Years!

We got invited to the Salt lake city New years eve party. It was quite fun. Thanks Carrie. She texted me about 7 and said that had two extra tickets and wanted to know if we wanted them. Of course we excepted. So we road up on the trax train. And headed up to Temple square. We were able to see the Polynesian dancers. And they told alot about their culture. Like did you know that in their culture there is no words for uncle aunt and neighbor. They are all known as Mom and Dad. I thought that was kind of cool. and then we got to watch a little of the John Schmit concert. that was really fun. he can be really entertaining while he plays. Then we headed out to Galavin plaza to watch the fire works and to count down to the new year. We had such a blast!!!

Grandma is getting better!!!!!
Last night about 12 oclock Grandmas heart went back to normal and is beating regularly again!!

People you care about

This week I have had a lot to think about the love ones that I have around me. My grandma went in to the hospital this week to have surgery on her hip. The surgery went really well, the dr was really impressed at how quick and easy it was to do the surgery on her hip. Well last night I was talking to Jeremy about my Grandma and then he was telling me about how much he misses both of his grandmas and how he would give up any thing in the world to spend one more day with them. Well last night I had a nightmare that my grandma passed away in the hospital from heart fail er. I woke up freaked out and panicked. I was so sick to my stomach. Then I was talking to my mom today on the phone and she was telling me how Grandmas heart is doing a lot of funny things so they had to move her to a different floor. And right when my mom got through telling me those things, she was like "I got to go" and then hung up on me. That scared me to death! I got so sick again to my stomach and I am just so scared right now. I know I need to have faith in the lords plans and know that he has everything under control. But I am not ready to loose a grandparent right now. I am still under this little kids mind that is thinking I will have them around forever. Which belonging to this wonderful church that I belong to I know that we will be together forever. But I am not ready to say goodbye yet. Right now I am just petrified that she will pass away and I will not get another chance to tell her I love her, and how much she means to me. I am keeping her in my prayers that she can get her heart back to normal and that she can have a speedy recovery. If you would also please keep her in your prayers That would mean the world to me and my family. We need her in our lives still. So please remember to tell the people who are close to you that you love them. For you never know if that is going to be the last time that you see them. Please fight hard for me Grandma! We love you!
